Privileg. Ein Dialog zwischen Anija Seedler und Sudabeh Mohafez
Sudabeh Mohafez aufgewachsen in Teheran und Anija Seedler aufgewachsen in Ostdeutschland reflektieren die Krise anhand von Erfahrung mit Brüchen in der je eigenen Biografie und den Transformationen, die sich aus ihnen ergaben und gestalten ließen. Um aus der Starre in die Bewegung zu finden und den künstlerischen Dialog auch unter den derzeit sehr veränderten Umständen weiter zu beflügeln, entstand im April 2020 — inmitten der großen Stille — das Erinnerungs- und Gegenwartsstück “Privileg“. Es schaut mit ganzer Kraft auf die Zeit: Jetzt, auf den Ort: Hier, und lässt in beidem Vergangenes aufscheinen. Die Künstlerinnen kreieren mit dieser Arbeit eine neue Form ihres seit Jahren geführten Austauschs zu Fragen der Kunst, der Literatur, der Philosophie, der Politik… Erstmals mündet er hier in eine filmische Umsetzung.

Privilege. A dialogue between Anija Seedler and Sudabeh Mohafez
Sudabeh Mohafez, who grew up in Tehran, and Anija Seedler, who grew up in East Germany, reflect on the crisis based on their experience with breaks in their own biographies and the transformations that resulted from them and could be shaped. In order to find movement from rigidity and to continue to inspire artistic dialogue even under the currently very changed circumstances, the commemorative and contemporary piece “Privileg” was created in April 2020 – in the midst of the great silence. It looks at the world with all its might Time: Now, to the place: Here, and allows the past to appear in both. With this work, the artists are creating a new form of the exchange that they have been conducting for years on questions of art, literature, philosophy, politics… For the first time it ends here a cinematic implementation.
